Cell Phys class was interesting today. Instead of the professor lecturing, from today and on students are doing presentations of the papers that they wrote. I wrote on apoptosis (programmed cell death) and the problem with my paper was that I was too general. So I figured I’d focus on two of the pathways that the cell uses to essentially commit suicide. Today TWO people talked about apoptosis. The 20 minutes that those people took to talk about their topics was a very revealing 20 minutes. It reminded me that I am not treading water. I’m sinking and the real question is: “Can I hold my breath that long?” The last thing I want is to give a general talk about something that has already been talked about in intimate detail. Royally Fucked.
